Apple Is Working on a MagSafe Battery Pack for iPhone 12: Report

Apple resurrected MagSafe together with the initiation of the iPhone 12 series before last year. It empowers users to magnetically adhere to a wireless charging pad for their iPhone. Apple has also launched a multitude of accessories, such as pockets and car mounts, harmonious with MagSafe. Now, according to a Bloomberg account (paywalled), the organization is creating a MagSafe battery package for the iPhone 12. It enables users to charge their apparatus on the go.

It is going to just be a power bank that pops on the back of your own iPhone with built-in magnets. This will not be a situation like previous-gen battery packs out of Apple. The business has not announced it yet due to a very simple reason. It does not wish to receive our hopes up like the AirPower charging pad, which has been canceled in 2019, rather than unveil the merchandise because of inherent issues.

Moreover, a reference to this battery package was recently seen from the iOS 14.5 beta 2 by programmer Stever Moser. He discovered an explainer for its stated attachment at the source code. It is going to only be billed up to 90 percent though for charging efficacy.

The attachment has, nevertheless, been delayed due to software problems. It’s been noted that iOS demonstrates the battery package is overheating even if it isn’t. The business should get past the application hurdles before it could formally launch the MagSafe-compatible battery package. There’s currently no deadline, so stay tuned for much more info.
