Microsoft Teams Finally Gains End-to-End Encryption Support

Ever since the work-from-home civilization came into effect throughout the Coronavirus-led pandemic, we’ve observed an increase in the use of video-conferencing programs. We’ve seen businesses rush to incorporate new features into their own platforms to draw new users. Currently, Microsoft is now incorporating end-to-end encryption (E2EE) service to its favorite video-conference program, Microsoft Teams, together with a lot of new capabilities.

The Redmond-based giant declared new attributes to get Microsoft Teams in its Ignite 2021 virtual seminar lately. These new features include new assembly modes and enhanced webinar features. Among the highlights, however, is that the inclusion of E2EE support coming into Teams.

The organization, to create Microsoft Teams VOIP calls stable, is incorporating support for end-to-end encryption for one-time calls on the stage. Consequently, this permits authorized solutions to decrypt the information on demand.

Now, together with the aid for E2EE, users will have the ability to enjoy safely encrypted VOIP calls at this stage. This is going to be very beneficial for sensitive discussions between workers of a company. It might also be helpful in circumstances where IT admins will need to supply passwords to workers or customers within a Microsoft Teams call.

At first, the attribute is only going to use one-on-one unscheduled calls. Microsoft, however, says it is planning to expand service for E2EE for scheduled calls and internet meetings in the not too distant future.
